Ingredients

  • Small sweet potato
  • Water

Instructions

1. Cut sweet potato into about 1-inch cubes.

2. Dump the cubed potatoes into a pot and fill pot with water (do not use salt in water). The water level should be high enough to cover all of the potatoes.

4. Once water reaches a boil, let boil on medium heat for about 20 minutes.

5. At the end of 20 minutes, test the sweet potatoes for softness by sticking a fork into a few of the cubes. If the fork slides through easily, the sweet potatoes are done.

7. Mash sweet potatoes with a potato masher until they are of uniform consistency.

8. Allow to cool and serve.
