Boston Terrier

BOSTON TERRIER

  • Boston Terriers were the first breed developed in America
  • Received the nickname “the American Gentleman” because they look like they’re dressed up in a tuxedo
  • Often confused for French Bulldogs
  • Highly intelligent and eager to please
  • Always ready for a fun time
jack russell terrier

JACK RUSSELL TERRIER

  • Originally bred in 19th Century England to hunt foxes
  • Can jump up to 5 feet high
  • Very active
  • A small dog with a big personality
  • They have 3 different coats: rough, smooth, and broken
yorkshire terrier

YORKSHIRE TERRIER

  • First bred in Yorkshire, England in the 19th Century to catch rats clothing mills
  • Their fur is a similar texture to human hair
  • Yorkies have 2 sets of teeth in their lifetime, just like humans
  • They have a hypoallergenic coat
  • A Yorkie named Smoky is credited with saving the lives of soldiers in World War II
  • They are the smallest Terrier breed

  • Bred to hunt foxes
  • Very intelligent and independent
  • Great watch dogs
  • Prefer to be outside

BULL TERRIER

  • They have the most unique facial features of any other dog breed
  • Compulsively chase their own tail
  • Known for their fun and goofy personalities
  • Bull terriers love attention
  • Famous for being spokesdogs for Target and Bud Light
black russian terrier

BLACK RUSSIAN TERRIER

  • Is a fairly new breed, with less than 100 years since they were originally bred
  • 17 breeds were used to create this breed, the 4 main breeds being the Giant Schnauzer, the Rottweiler, the Airedale Terrier, and the Newfoundland
  • They were military dogs for the Soviet Union
  • Alert and protective
