The Fourth of July is in a couple of days and we’ve got the perfect, festive dog treat recipe to make for your pooch: Red, White & Blue Frozen yogurt treats! This is a cool and refreshing treat that is easy on your dog’s tummy and healthy for them too.

Red, White & Blue Frozen Yogurt Recipe


  • Strawberries (fresh or thawed from frozen)
  • Blueberries (fresh of thawed from frozen)
  • Plain dog-safe yogurt or kefir
  • Tints for added color (optional)


  1. Prepare the fruit and yogurt mixtures in individual bowls or containers:
    • White – Plain yogurt
    • Red – Puree or mash the strawberries, add yogurt, add coloring/tint (optional for redder stars), and mix to combine.
    • Blue – Puree or mash blueberries, add yogurt, add coloring/tint (optional for bluer stars), and mix to combine.
  2. Pour or spoon into a silicon mould or suitable substitute.
  3. Freeze thoroughly before removing from the moulds. Transfer the completed treats to a suitable container and return to the freezer for frozen storage until use.
