S’mores are a classic treat to enjoy this season, and now you can share it with your dog! I know what you’re thinking, “but dogs can’t eat chocolate!” Don’t worry, we won’t be using chocolate in this recipe. Instead, we’ll use carob chips, a chocolate substitute that is perfectly safe for your dog to eat in moderation. We’ll also use plain cream cheese as a substitute for marshmallows. Here’s the recipe for doggie s’mores:
Ingredients:
- Carob chips
- Plain cream cheese
- Dog biscuits
Directions:
- Place carob chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 second intervals until smooth
- Spread a layer of cream cheese on dog biscuit
- Dip dog biscuit into melted carob, and place on wax paper
- Let sit until carob has hardened.
- Serve 1 per dog
